Introduction to ANSYS

Sector :  Design & Construction

Training duration : 5 days

Training site : WAN - Département Formations techniques (Gosselies)

Contact : 071/34 81 80 – candidature@wan.be

The training courses that will be organised in this area will enable the acquisition of skills with regard to IT tools used within companies in the aeronautics and space sector.

These include training on the following tools:

  • Catia V5 and V6 ;
  • PLM 2.0 Environment ;
  • ANSYS ;
  • SAMCEF ;
  • PATRAN – NASTRAN ;
  • Software products concerning the field of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, aerothermics,…

Concerned area

Travailler au sein d’un bureau de calcul du secteur mécanique ou aéronautique en tant que spécialiste du dimensionnement de produits aéronautiques.

OBJECTIVES

To acquire the knowledge necessary for an autonomous use of the ANSYS software with the interest of developing the critical mind of the participants with regard to the results of numerical simulations.

TARGET AUDIENCE AND/OR PREREQUISITIES

This course is intended for engineers in calculation and/or research offices who have the theoretical bases of finite elements and who wish to be initiated to the practice of ANSYS.

Knowledge of the finite element method

Have completed Module I to complete Module II

PROGRAMME

Module I : 3 days –

General overview on ANSYS – General – Graphical interface – Pre-processor – Definition of geometry – Import of an IGES file – Definition of geometry – Definition of material characteristics – Library of elements – Organization and management of files generated by ANSYS – Definition and fineness of meshes – Static linear analysis procedure – Application examples – Use of solver – Different types of loads and boundary conditions – Use of the Post processor – Use of results in graphical form and listing – Application examples – Selection module – 3D modeling – Free mesh – Set mesh size

Module II : 2 days –
