Non-linear calculations using MSC.Nastran

Sector :  Design & Construction

Training duration : 3 days

Training site : WAN - Département Formations techniques (Gosselies)

Contact : 071/34 81 80 – candidature@wan.be

Field: Calculation

The training courses that will be organised in this area will enable the acquisition of skills with regard to IT tools used within companies in the aeronautics and space sector.

These include training on the following tools:

  • Catia V5 and V6 ;
  • PLM 2.0 Environment ;
  • ANSYS ;
  • SAMCEF ;
  • PATRAN – NASTRAN ;
  • Software products concerning the field of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, aerothermics,…

Concerned area

Engineers working in a calculation office of a large company within an SME active in the dimensioning of products involving important knowledge on non-linear behaviour of materials.

OBJECTIVES

This seminar introduces, through MSC.Nastran and MSC.Patran software, basic finite element analysis techniques in the following fields: Linear Static, Modal Analysis, Buckling. The structure of the MSC.Nastran data, the library of elements, modelling techniques, model validation and calculation methods are some of the major themes discussed and illustrated by numerous examples and practical work. MSC.Patran will be your main tool and will be used to generate and verify MSC.Nastran models, manage the submission of calculations and exploit the results. This seminar will give you access to the basic and advanced applications of MSC.Nastran.

TARGET AUDIENCE AND/OR PREREQUISITIES

  • This seminar is intended for users who have chosen MSC.Nastran to analyse their structures in the non-linear domain.
  • Knowledge of MSC.Nastran
